Absolution

Absolution was originally published in the Spring 2008 issue of THREAD magazine. It was first produced by Holland Productions at the Factory Theatre in Boston, MA in November, 2009. It was directed by M. Bevin O'Gara, and featured Daniel John as Donnelly and Eric Rollins as Simon. After being chosen as one of the top SLAMBoston one-acts of the year by Another Country Productions, it returned to the Factory Theatre in April of 2010 under the direction of Krista D'Agostino, with Daniel John and Eric Rollins reprising their respective roles. In December of 2010, a production was mounted at Emerson College under the direction of Amy Davidson. Things to Note:

  • Thin Lizzy is an Irish rock band, most well known for the song "The Boys are Back In Town," which you probably recognize from Toy Story even though it came out as single almost 20 years before that. But I digress. Thin Lizzy is awesome. I'm also pretty sure that Lead singer/bassist Phil Lynott is the only black Irish (but not Black Irish) rock singer in history. And no, Bono doesn't count.
  • Like Thin Lizzy, bacon is also awesome.
